Truck Driving charity event

As well as being a part time zombie I'm a truck driver by trade, here are some photos of a charity event I organised.

Above is a photo of Mrs Lucas after she had finished reversing the truck into a gap. She did really well.

After a recent charity run to Romania, many of the volunteers asked what it felt like to drive a 44 tonne truck, 'it's just like driving a car only a bit bigger and a few more gears.

That's why I decided to do this charity event in aid of Hope and Aid Direct. A local haulage company has leant me a truck to use and the local council has given us permission to use their land so you good folk out there could have a go at reversing a truck and go through the motions of using 16 gears.

So if your in the Derby UK, on Saturday 2nd December at 10.00. At the cattle market, come down with your licence and have a go!

My Night as a Zombie

A dream come true

This was a dream come true for me, I had dreamed of being made up as a zombie and dreams came true.

I had organised a zombie charity night in Derby, UK in aid of a charity called Hope and Aid Direct http://www.chaad.co.uk

I contacted Stuart Conran http://www.stuartconran.com to see if he would make me up for the night and he said yes.

My mother was made over as well and we had a fantastic night

Start of my weight loss

This is day one of my weight loss programme.

The time is 02.30 am, I have just completed a 10 hour night shift and I have decided to go for a cycle ride.The time is 03.02am and I am cream cracked and the sweat is pouring off me. My legs are shaking and I have never coughed so much. I had to stop twice just to get my breath back and I don't even smoke.

The bike is still in one piece and it rides like a dream, a migraine is just about to emerge so I will keep this brief.Not quite sure how many miles I have done, but the route, which I’m starting off with, is a level route with a small hill up and down dales.I need to get some lights for the bike, as it’s a part main road where the route is.

When I get up later I will give some feedback, to how I feel.My eating habits has changed from today, cereal for breakfast instead of Bacon and eggs, woke up with the calf muscles in spasms, the fat on my tummy still appears to be there, so it looks like I’m in for a long hard slog.

Weight loss Blog

Hello and welcome to my weight loss blog. Ever since posting my photo on my charity website at http://www.chaad.co.uk/ I’ve had quite a few unpleasant comments, but sticks and stones and all, only makes me work harder.

I’m 5ft 8 and weigh 14 stone (196lb) so you could say I’m a little overweight. When I was in my twenties I worked on Removals for over 7 years, which kept, my weight levels down and I rode 10 miles (round trip) to work everyday, which kept me even fitter.

When I left that job I started to drive trucks (artics) and the weight gain did not bother me and I started to train in Tae Kwon Do, boxing and I went high altitude training and that was fantastic, I had a 6 pack then and my body became my temple.

When I started to develop my body I started to develop my mind, I started Meditation classes to calm my mind and I had more women than Clark Cable. My weight was 12 stone (168lb) but no fatWhen I was made redundant I went for a job working in an office. Sitting down all day and no exercise the weight piled on me.

Became involved with a sexaholic and the weight disappeared again, that was calorie burning and most enjoyable.Now I’m married and came back truck driving again because of the freedom and to get away from the nagging, weight has shot back at me and now I’m fighting back.

I want that sex drive again and feel more confident with my self.I want to do it the natural way, no pills or going to weight loss groups and talk about my weight gain.So here goes, a total new approach, and a total new me.

I’ve been a big fan of horror/zombie films since a young age and never stopped watching them. They move like a train in the sidings but they bite like a snake.To pay homage to my interest I have organised a charity zombie night at the cinema in Derby UK.

what I still enjoy now.

Books which take you away from where you are now, the descriptive books, where you can feel what the author is feeling at the time.I still go back to the old books, the times when I was the happiest young lad at school, the dreamer, (still is) but now I

can put dreams into practice and sit by the river with my rod in hand and think of adventure on the Mississippi. (even if I live in the UK)

You can make a child a man but you can’t take imagination away from a human being.

Itchy Feet

Do you get itchy feet, & want to travel?

Looking at buying a motorhome to travel the world, would you give up your home, and job and blow all caution to the wind.I live in the UK and really want to travel to Australia using land and sea.

I would work in every single country I came into contact with, to make the whole experience truly amazing.Would you give up everything to travel?
